Trustees Hire ADA Expert to Assess School Closure

Lehigh Professor Perry Zirkel has been hired by the Great Falls School Board to study if a decision to close East Middle School violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. Zirkel has two law degrees and a doctoral degree in education administration. He has written 975 articles on educational topics, many related to special education and students with disabilities. "Professor Zirkel is a nationally known expert in this area and is willing to do the research for us," board Chairman Mick Taleff said Thursday.
