US Threshold for Iraq “Success” is Modest

Henri Barkey, professor of international relations at Lehigh, was quoted in an article about American voters caring less about the exact steps toward self-rule and more about improving security. He noted that the Shiite masses have been peaceful and nonviolent up to now in their expressions of opposition to the current transition plan. "Up to now, the violence has been largely from the Sunni former power structure, but just imagine if the US - sticking to an unworkable plan or putting its own bench marks first - pushed the Shiites to that," says Barkey. "It would be a real disaster."

Frick Major Factor as Lehigh Rips Navy

Lehigh University's Travis Frick has wrestled an awfully long time -- and it's been a good long ride. Against the Midshipmen's Travis Manion, the 184-pound Frick -- a Nazareth Area High School athlete who is ranked No. 14 nationally -- looked as comfortable as he ever has in his two-year collegiate career. He helped the Mountain Hawks score a 29-9 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association victory in front of a sellout crowd of 1,928 at Leeman-Turner Arena in Grace Hall.
