Friday, April 8: “Building Disaster Resilient Communities”

Chris D. Poland, Chairman and CEO of Degenkolb Engineers from San Francisco, presents the Fazlur R. Khan Distinguished Lecture.

The event begins at 4:10 p.m. in Sinclair Laboratory Auditorium.

Sunday, April 10: “The Agents of Change”

The department of political science presents a film trilogy, “The Agents of Change” delving into the potential relationships between art and political activism. Two of filmmaker Ranjan Kamath’s films will be shown Sunday, with the final film being shown Monday, April 11.

The event begins with the films Fishers of Men at 9 a.m. and Tanvir ka Safarnama at 11 a.m. in Maginnes room 290.

Monday, April 11: “The Agents of Change: Meet the Filmmaker”

The Die is Caste is shown and then viewers are welcome to stay for a question and answer session with filmmaker Ranjan Kamath.

The event begins at 4:10 p.m. in Rauch room 184.

Tuesday, April 12: “How Can You Leverage Social Media?”

The College of Business and Economics presents an MBAA Social Speaker Session with speakers Roland Grybauskas of Envisage Engagement Marketing and David Rosenberg of JWT.

New York Daily News columnist and Fox News political analyst Andrea Tantaros ’01speaks about her Lehigh experience and how it has influenced her professional career.

Thursday, April 14: “The Accidental Anarchist: from Bartleby to Naked Lunch"

Interdisciplinary programs present American Studies with speaker Keith Leslie Johnson, assistant professor of English at Augusta State University.

The event begins at 4:10 p.m. in Drown room 209.

 Friday, April 15: "Live From the Libyan Battlefield: A Lehigh Alum and Rebel Force Leaders Speak Out"

The Global Union and Graduate Student Life present a live videoconference, via Skype, featuring Lehigh alumnus Issa Hakim, a volunteer in the Libyan rebel forces Army; Omar Saied, a rebel forces colonel who was involved in the mission to rescue an American pilot whose jet crashed near Benghazi; and Mohamed Salem, the rebel forces minister of information for the transitional government.

The even begins at noon in Packard Lab 410.

The department of earth and environmental sciences presents Willow S. Hallgren of MIT.

The event begins at noon in STEPS room 101.

Friday, April 15: "Development and Application of Molecular Quantum Electrodynamics to Inter-Particle Forces"

The chemistry department presents Professor Akbar Salam of the department of chemistry at Wake Forest University.

The event begins at 12:10 p.m. in Neville Hall, auditorium 3.

Friday, April 15: “Rossin Induction Ceremony”

An induction ceremony to honor the 2011 Rossin Junior Fellows, Rossin Doctoral Fellows, and new Rossin Professors.

The event begins at 3:30 p.m. in Packard auditorium.
