Enhanced campus homepage takes readers “Inside Lehigh”

The new Inside Lehigh Web page was launched on April 3.

As part of the continued enhancements to Lehigh’s Web site, an updated campus home page—called “Inside Lehigh”—was introduced on April 3. It replaced the existing students, faculty and staff page.

Featuring a user-friendly, content-driven format, Inside Lehigh provides the campus community with news and event information, coupled with important and frequently sought-after services and resources.

Enhanced features within Inside Lehigh include access to top headlines from the day's higher education news and the ability to subscribe to a Lehigh News RSS feed, allowing community members to automatically receive headlines with links to news articles on their home pages and mobile devices.

The page also offers the ability to navigate to popular campus services via a drop-down menu; enhanced search capabilities including “Find a Person” and “Find a Web site”; direct access to highly sought resources including the campus facility reservation system and log-in to the campus portal. Broader access to selected news articles with links to an expanded collection of articles found in the Lehigh News Center is also offered.

In addition, a campus-wide alert system that was created in partnership with Library and Technology Services appears on the page. It helps communicate the status of planned maintenance, occasional system outages and other essential information related to telecommunications and computer systems.
