First of all, I find it disingenuous to focus specifically on child obesity rather than obesity in general. Not that this should be unexpected since relating any issue to children is an effective way to inspire knee-jerk reactions. One reason that people eat the junk food that they do is because it is CHEAP, largely because of government farm subsidies. Observe the serpent in action: first the government helps create a "problem" and then they inform the ignorant public that they are the super heroes who can save the day. We can never, ever blame the parents. That's rule number one.
