Government intervention - we need to properly educate people about what we are eating, how to eat, why eat, and most importantly exercise! I am very aware and specific about what I eat. I eat an approx. 90% organic diet. I truly believe it is not just the food but the quality of the food that impacts our health.
I see many obese parents. If they aren't educated about nutrition or uninterested or don't care, how will their intervention help. Also, kids eat 1-2 meals at school and many other snacks and meals elsewhere. Unless you remove the candy and soda from book bags that won't help. Also, it doesn't matter when or where you consume, say, 4000 calories it is still 4000 calories. A healthy lunch means nothing if you eat a quarter pounder and fries on the way home.
