I believe in minimal government, however our government can help this situation by reducing or eliminating subsidies for food and farming of cheap corn; widely used in cheap, processed foods. If anything they should subsidize production of healthy foods. Why does a value meal at McDonalds cost less than a head of broccoli? It is the poor that are suffering. The wealthy can shop at Whole Foods. The other way government can help is regulating school lunches. What they serve now is processed garbage!
