Please, take a look at the big picture. Taxing junk food is not the answer. I, myself, watch what my kids eat but if I buy Oreos once a month, the price should be reasonable not 20.00 for the package because some govt tax. Parents should stop giving cell phones to children under 16 and let them ride bikes, exercise, play like we used to. Why do they need to be driven to an organized activity? Forget paying for an activity and let the kids play, be creative and not eat in a car ride they don't need to take. And they can be kicking a ball waiting for the parent to pick them up rather than texting thier damn friend who is standing next to them. If you don't drive yet, you don't need a phone. Your parents set a time to pick you up and you wait. Period.
