Important Information for International Students

Since Lehigh University does not allocate institutional funding (need-based financial aid or merit scholarship) for international transfer students, all non-U.S. citizens are required to submit the Certification of Finances with their application for transfer admission. If an international student does not submit this important item, the application will be considered incomplete and a final decision will not be rendered. The Certification of Finances must be accompanied by a signed letter from a bank or financial institution verifying that a student can be supported to at least $52,520 for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Where evaluation of prior college or university courses is concerned, Lehigh University prefers students to submit their official transcripts on a “course-by course” basis. International students must also submit course descriptions (translated to English) with their completed application for admission.

Lastly, if the application fee is paid by check, it must be drawn on a US bank.

On-campus interviews are not granted for transfer students. If you have questions regarding the application process, please contact the Office of Admissions/Transfer Section at (610) 758-3214. Transfer students are welcome to attend on-campus group information sessions and/or campus tours.
