Transfer Student Application
Lehigh University requires submission of the following items for transfer admission. All non-U.S. citizens must also submit those items designated for international students in addition to all regular application items.
The application deadline for the fall semester is March 1; the deadline is October 1 for the spring semester.

Common Application for Transfer Students

Application Fee ($70)

College Official's Form
The College Official's Form must be completed by the university Dean's Office noting that the applicant is in good academic standing with the university and eligible to return to the institution.
Lehigh Transfer Supplement
We strongly encourage students to submit the application electronically through the Common Application website.
All students must be in good standing with their previous college to be eligible for admission to Lehigh. We strongly encourage students to submit the transcript electronically, when available.
Course Descriptions & Textbook Listings
This information can either accompany the transfer application for admission or be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
. If sent via e-mail, please include your name and institution. Please do not send course catalogs.
Final High School Transcript
We strongly encourage students to submit the transcript electronically when available. All domestic transfer students must fulfill the same high school requirements as incoming first-year students including:
- 4 units (years) English
- 3 units (years) math (including trigonometry)
- 2 units (years) of a foreign language
- 6 units (years) of electives (history, science, etc.)
- Candidates for the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science must have studied chemistry.
Transfer Credit Evaluation Form
This form must be completed by the applicant and mailed directly to the Office of Admissions along with all course descriptions.
Certification of Finances
Must be submitted by all Non-US Citizens.
Must be submitted by students whose first language is not English.

Lehigh University offers need-based aid to transfer students who are US citizens or permanent residents; non-citizens are not elligible for any aid. Please Note: Lehigh does not offer merit-based financial aid to any transfer students.

Important Information for International Students
Since Lehigh University does not allocate institutional funding (need-based financial aid or merit scholarship) for international transfer students, all non-U.S. citizens are required to submit the Certification of Finances with their application for transfer admission. If an international student does not submit this important item, the application will be considered incomplete and a final decision will not be rendered. The Certification of Finances must be accompanied by a signed letter from a bank or financial institution verifying that a student can be supported to at least $52,520 for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Where evaluation of prior college or university courses is concerned, Lehigh University prefers students to submit their official transcripts on a “course-by course” basis. International students must also submit course descriptions (translated to English) with their completed application for admission.
Lastly, if the application fee is paid by check, it must be drawn on a US bank.
