Dravo House
Dravo House is home to 258 first-year students, approximately one-third of which are women. The residence hall, located at the south end of Taylor Street, bears the name of two brothers, Ralph M. Dravo, Class of 1889, and Francis F. Dravo, Class of 1887, who founded the Dravo Corp., a Pittsburgh-based international construction company.
This five-story hall is comprised of double and single rooms, with a few triples. All the rooms contain movable furniture and provide a bed, desk, desk chair, closet with drawers and shelves for each student.
Students can find a TV lounge, game room, vending machines and laundry facility on the first floor. A large programming lounge equipped with a TV and kitchen as well as study facilities are on the ground floor.
During the 2012-2013 academic year, Dravo is home to the CHOICE Community, which focuses on promoting a healthy learning and living environment for first-year students.
