Victoria and Robert E. Zoellner 1954
Robert E. Zoellner earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University in 1954. While an undergraduate, Zoellner was a member of the ice hockey team, Air Force ROTC, Brown & White, Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and the Interfraternity Council. Following graduation, he served two years in the Air Force, before embarking on a successful career on Wall Street.
Zoellner has remained committed to Lehigh since graduation, serving on the National Leadership Committee, his class’s 40th Reunion Fund Committee, and most recently, as a member of the board of trustees. He and his wife, Victoria, are currently honorary trustees of the university. Victoria Zoellner is a graduate of New England’s Pine Manor College and a former Wall Street analyst. She is currently a board member at the Trinity-Pauling School. Together, the Zoellners formed Alpine Associates, a firm specializing in securities arbitrage and investments, in Alpine, New Jersey. They are active supporters of the New York Botanical Gardens.
The Zoellners, longtime supporters of Lehigh, deepened their commitment to the university in the early 1990s, committing $6 million to establish the 105,000 square-foot Zoellner Arts Center on the Asa Packer Campus. Today, the center is one of the premier performing arts centers in the Lehigh Valley, providing students and the surrounding community with unique opportunities for learning, performing, and the visual arts.
The Zoellners live in Alpine, New Jersey.
