The spirit of Lehigh resonates in every note played by the Marching 97, is heard in every cheer by fans, and makes a difference through every gift made to the Lehigh Lafayette Challenge.
November exemplified our Brown and White camaraderie in the traditions of the famous Lehigh-Lafayette spirit week. The week leading up to the game was full of fun events created to fuel excitement on South Mountain. Students across campus demonstrated their pride at the Student Carnival, Lehigh-Laf-a-Palooza, and the long-standing Lehigh bed races! Our annual Turkey Trot was also a success with a large number of participants who donned festive, creative costumes.
Additionally, Lehigh had a guest for spirit week—ESPNU Road Trip
visited campus to document a special on The Rivalry! Make sure you tune in: the Lehigh episode will debut Wednesday, November 27, at 6:30 p.m. EST on ESPNU. The episode will then re-air on Wednesday at 11:30 p.m., and on Thanksgiving at 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
At a time when we are all giving thanks for what matters to us most, I am thankful for our spirited community of Lehigh alumni, parents, and students. Each and every one of you has played a significant role in establishing traditions that will have students celebrating their school spirit for many years to come. And finally, in honor of football’s most played rivalry, a thank you to everyone who showed tremendous support during the Lehigh-Lafayette Challenge
. Your support and enthusiasm is amazing.
