Chief Marketing Officer, Elsevier Clinical Solutions
Ms. Cook is currently the Chief Marketing Officer for the Clinical Solutions division of Elsevier, a world-leading provider of information solutions that enhance the performance of science, health, and technology professionals. She leads the marketing efforts for digital products used by healthcare professionals and students.
Ms. Cook previously led the marketing and communication activities for Cengage Learning, a $2 billion global provider of innovative learning and research solutions. She helped drive the company’s transformation to digital offerings. She also spearheaded the company’s launch of MindTap, a new personalized program of digital products and services that engages students in a whole new way.
Ms. Cook brings more than 20 years of expertise in global consumer products at Fortune 100 companies, with specific experience including interactive entertainment and digital media. Previously, she served as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of Vivendi Games, creator of some of the industry’s largest and most profitable games including World of Warcraft. She ran marketing for the company and was directly accountable for the mobile and casual games divisions. Ms. Cook also drove strategy for the company and was a member of the senior management team that completed a successful merger with Activision, creating Activision Blizzard, the world’s largest videogame publisher.
Ms. Cook was one of the pioneers in digital music, launching the first commercial download and subscription services at Universal Music Group, the world’s largest music company. Earlier in her career she held a variety of management roles at Pepsi Cola, Seagram and General Electric.
Ms. Cook holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern Graduate School of Business and a B.S. from Lehigh University. She volunteers with Dorot, an organization helping seniors.
Ms. Cook resides in New York City with her husband and daughter.
