Mr. Leitner is a principal, and co-founder (1990) of the The Leitner Thomas Group, a private investment firm acquiring controlling interests in emerging growth and middle market companies.
From 1982-89 Mr. Leitner was a Managing Director/Partner at AEA Investors Inc., New York where he shepherded the direct investment via a controlling interest in specific operating companies. Mr. Leitner served on the Board of Directors of a number of AEA portfolio companies until 1992. From 1976-82 Mr. Leitner was a corporate lending officer of Bankers Trust Company, New York, NY.
Mr. Leitner's directorships include: Tops Supermarkets Inc. (OTC); Caressa Inc. (NYSE); Townhouse Penthouse Industries; Providence Washington Insurance Company (OTC); CUB Supermarkets of Ohio; Casco Holding Co.; Ingersoll Products, Inc.; Georgia Packaging, Inc., Mid America Fiber, Inc., Aurora Custom Machining, Inc., Brogdon Tool, PDM Manufacturing and TestPak, Inc.
Prior to his time with The Leitner Thomas Group, Mr. Leitner was the President, PW Investors Inc., parent of Providence Washington Insurance Company, Providence, Rhode Island (1986-89).
Mr Leitner received his MBA from the Stern School at New York University (1980) and a BS from Lehigh University (1976).
Mr. Leitner is a member of the Executive Committee of the Dean's Advisory Council.
