Mr. Walsh was a founding partner of WR Capital Partners, LLC (WR). WR is a private equity investment partnership and a successor to Wesray Capital, which Mr. Walsh joined in 1990.
During his tenure at WR and Wesray, Mr. Walsh was actively involved in the acquisition, monitoring, financing, restructuring and disposition of dozens of businesses in a variety of industries. These include aviation services, automotive accessories, petroleum production and storage, sports/entertainment, pension consulting and advisory services, banking, hedge funds, “green” and traditional power generation, shipping, real estate, manufacturing and distribution companies. In addition to his private equity experience, Mr. Walsh has extensive experience negotiating a variety of investments in the debt and equity capital markets.
Mr. Walsh began his career as an associate and assistant vice president at Kidder, Peabody, Inc., in New York City working in the equity syndicate department.
Mr. Walsh has served as a director to First Constitution Bancorp, a publicly traded bank holding company (NASDAQ: FCCY) since 1999. He is currently a member of the audit committee and chairman of the compensation committee. He is a board member of Galvin Flying Services, Inc., a Seattle, WA based aviation services company. Galvin is the largest provider of general aviation (FBO) services, which includes hangering, fueling, chartering and flight training in the Pacific Northwest. He also serves as a director and audit committee member for World Point Holdings, Inc. and its’ predecessor company, World Point Terminals, Inc., which until 2010 had been a publicly traded Canadian company. World Point owns and operates 14 petroleum storage and terminal facilities throughout North America with approximately 11.3 million barrels of capacity. Mr. Walsh was a trustee of St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, NJ from approximately 1992-2009 and currently serves on the board of several local charities and foundations.
Mr. Walsh earned a BS in Business Administration in 1988 from Lehigh University. He lives in Basking Ridge, NJ with his wife and three children.
