Eddie Ramos '89
Senior Vice President and Lead Portfolio Manager of International Equities, Cornerstone Capital Management
Eddie Ramos has gained extensive global investment experience over the last 19 years having created the investment philosophy, stock selection process and portfolio construction methodology for three different 5-star Morningstar rated equity funds and a 4-star rated global fund. He is Senior Vice President and Lead Portfolio Manager of International Equities at Cornerstone Capital Management. He manages nearly $2 billion in assets, and is the lead portfolio manager for the 4-star rated Mainstay International Equity Fund.
Mr. Ramos was with Madison Square Investors when in early 2013, New York Life Investment Management and Madison Square Investors acquired a minority stake in Minneapolis-based Cornerstone Capital Management LLC. Founded in 1992, Cornerstone Capital Management LLC is an investment and financial advisory firm offering fundamental U.S. growth equity strategies to institutional investors.
Previous to Cornerstone Capital Management, Eddie was an Executive Director Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley Investment Management where he successfully turned around the performance of the Morgan Stanley Global Advantage Fund and the Van Kampen International Advantage Fund. He has also gained extensive experience at Brown Capital Management and Templeton Investment Counsel.
Eddie's media credentials include interviews with CNBC, USA Today, Bloomberg and Time magazine. He has also been a featured speaker at the Columbia Business School, Harvard Business School, Lehigh University, and World Pension Forum, and has traveled to over 40 countries. Eddie received a BS in Finance from Lehigh University and an MBA from the Columbia Graduate School of Business as a Robert Toigo Foundation Fellow. He also holds the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Eddie is currently a Director-at-Large for the Lehigh University Alumni Association; a former board member of the New America Alliance and the Robert Toigo Foundation; a member of the Alumni Founders' Circle of A Better Chance; a Committee member of the American Cancer Society of NY/NJ; and a former National Director for the National Society of Hispanic MBAs.
