Diversity Achievers Program

Lehigh University values a diverse, inclusive, and vibrant campus community. At the same time, we believe the best way for a student to learn whether a college or university is a good fit is by spending time on campus. As a result, we offer selected students interested in a culturally based overnight program the opportunity to immerse themselves in life at Lehigh for two days and one night through the Diversity Achievers Program (DAP). On Sunday, October 26, 2014 participants will interact with current students from around the world, learn about support services, enjoy dinner with the J. Leon Washington, Vice Provost of Admissions and Financial Aid, and spend the night in a residence hall. On Monday, October 27, 2014, DAP participants will attend our Senior Open House and attend a class.

The application link for DAP 2014 will be posted on this website at the end of August. Please check back at that time to complete the application. We also encourage students to visit Lehigh through our other opportunities, listed on the Admissions Events Calendar.

Required items:

  • Diversity Achievers Program Application (available August 1)
  • Transcript (An unofficial transcript will be acceptable)
  • SAT/ACT results
  • Résumé

Required elements not available for online/electronic submission should be faxed to (610) 758-4361, Attn: Diversity Achievers Program, or emailed to Beth Guzzo, Assistant Director of Diversity Recruitment, at ecg211@lehigh.edu. These items should only be submitted following completion of the DAP application. Application materials are due by noon EST on Friday, September 21, 2014. Only complete applications submitted on time will be considered. We will notify those selected to participate within two weeks. Admission to this program is not related to admission to Lehigh University.

If you have any questions, please contact Maria Asayag, Director of Diversity Recruitment, at mga210@lehigh.edu or Beth Guzzo, Assistant Director of Diversity Recruitment, at ecg211@lehigh.edu.

Those unable or not selected to attend DAP are still encouraged to attend Senior Open House on Monday, October 27, 2014. Families are welcome to Open House as well.
