Admissions Requirements

This toolbox allows you to customize your application experience. It contains all the necessary forms that Lehigh requires and specific instructions to guide you through the process. The default list you see when visiting this page contains information for first-year applicants; the list changes as you make your selections in the toolbox.

Application Toolbox

Please make your selections from either First-Year Student Applications or Transfer Student Applications.

First-Year Student Applications

Transfer Student Applications

Please check one or more of the options in the Application Toolbox.

Writing sub-scores are NOT evaluated as part of the admissions process.
  • Counselor and (one) Teacher Recommendation (PDF)
Electronic submission from your school through the Common Application website is accepted and encouraged.
  • $70 Application Fee
Electronic credit card payment through the Common Application website is encouraged. Any checks mailed to Admissions must be drawn on a U.S. bank.
  • Midyear Report Forms (PDF)
Please ask your school to submit this once the first semester, second quarter or second trimester is completed.
  • 2012-2013 Final Report (PDF)
Please submit after graduation. Transcripts must have the high school seal and/or official signature and be from a high school with a CEEB code.** If a student submits a fraudulent transcript, the Office of Admissions reserves the right to rescind an offer of admission and withdraw the original application for admission at any time. Validation of a student's final official transcript will be coordinated with the office of financial aid.

*Applicants with financial need should pay close attention to financial aid requirements and deadlines.
** If a transcript is from a high school that lacks a CEEB code or seal/signature, the admission office will investigate to confirm the school is recognized by the state department of education or home school association. The admissions office may request a copy of the student's diploma at any point in the admission process to verification process. If a diploma is determined invalid, a GED will be required for admission consideration.
For more details, including required courses, please review undergraduate admissions guidelines.
  • International Student Certfication of Finances (PDF)
Required of all non-U.S. citizens/permanent residents. Please submit it to the Office of Admissions as part of your admissions application.
  • CSS/Financial Aid Profile (PDF)
OR International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA)
If you have financial need, you must complete and submit one of these two forms to be considered for aid. Due to limited funding for non-citizens, Lehigh is need-aware in the admissions process.

Please note: The CSS/Financial Aid Profile charges a registration fee. If your family circumstances prevent payment of this fee, learn how help is available.
  • Official TOEFL Scores
Must be submitted directly from ETS.
(Although the TOEFL requirement will be waived for students who have scored 570 or higher on the SAT Critical Reading section, it is highly encouraged of all applicants whose first language is not English.)
  • Early Decision Request Form (PDF)
Please note: Under the National Association of College Admissions Counselors Statement of Principles and Good Practices, students, parents, and guidance counselors make a commitment where, if admitted, the student will withdraw all other applications and enroll.
