The First-Year Experience provides a “foundation for success” for Lehigh students. Please join Provost Patrick Farrell and Vice Provost for Student Affairs John Smeaton, along with student affairs colleagues, to learn about the opportunities and expectations for student engagement and growth in and outside the classroom. A panel of students will also speak about their experiences and help everyone get into the Lehigh spirit. Danish and coffee will be provided.

Tickets are $20 per person. This locally-produced 30-minute film, narrated by Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation), details how Bethlehem became the quintessential American city. From its beginning in the 1740s, through Bethlehem Steel’s incredible rise and fall, Bethlehem: The Christmas City shows how the residents of this beautiful town have always been one step ahead of the times. After the film, enjoy The Rise & Fall of Bethlehem Steel; a 3/4 of a mile walking tour of SteelStacks with a trained guide. Then hop next door to PBS39 for a studio tour.

Historic Bethlehem Architectural Bus Tour

Enjoy a new historical Bethlehem bus tour featuring three centuries of architecture, architects, neighborhoods, and builders of Bethlehem. This bus tour will showcase Bethlehem’s historic mansions, industrial powerhouses, immigrant neighborhoods, and one of the best collections of Germanic Colonial architecture in America. This two-hour bus and walking tour features changing South Bethlehem and its relevance to Lehigh.
