Severe Weather Information

Graduation will be held outdoors rain or shine in Goodman Stadium. Guests may want to bring sunglasses, hats, ponchos, raingear, stadium cushions, and comfortable shoes.

In the event of extreme weather conditions that threaten personal safety (such as a severe thunderstorm, lightning, or tornado), two abbreviated indoor ceremonies will be conducted in Stabler Arena as follows:

10:00 a.m. College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education
2:00 p.m. P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, College of Business and Economics, and Interdisciplinary Degree Programs (IDEAS, IBE, and CSB)

Degrees will be conferred en masse. Diplomas will be distributed in the Rauch Field House after the ceremony. No tickets will be required.

The decision to move the ceremony will be determined by the president, the provost, and Athletics Facilities & Events POC. The decision will be made by 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20. For weather information, call the University Hotline (610) 758-NEWS or visit www.lehigh.edu.

Please note: The weather will be monitored throughout the morning. If threatening weather approaches prior to 7:45 a.m., the two abbreviated indoor ceremonies will take place. If threatening weather approaches after 9:00 a.m., attendees will be urged to take cover in Stabler Arena or under the Goodman Stadium stands. Depending on the forecast, the President will be advised to resume or cancel ceremony.
